Reopening 22nd June!

I am pleased to be reopening my practice from next week. Following guidance from Public Health England and the Institute of Osteopathy, I have been working hard on risk assessments and new procedures to ensure patients' safety and my own. At the moment, the studio is closed for Pilates classes and other activities. For now, we have moved the treatment room to the Pilates studio next door (see image below) which gives us lots more room to distance where possible. I have planned every part of the patient journey from arrival to leaving the studio to minimise risk for everyone. I will be wearing suitable PPE and I ask all patients to wear a face covering for their appointment. I am carrying out pre-screening phone calls within 24 hours of appointments and further screening on arrival. I will be allowing 30 minutes between each patient in order to aerate the room and clean all surfaces and touch points. The waiting area will not be in use and there is a designated toilet for therapist and patient.

Whilst I am minimising risk as much as possible, visiting the clinic still comes with some risk so I will be using my clinical judgement as to whether a face to face treatment is appropriate. I continue to offer virtual consultations and for some, this may be the best treatment option at the moment.

It's been 3 months and I know that many people are suffering with stress, aches and pains from different daily activities. I am really looking forward to welcoming people back!
